Damned Steve! You couldn’t wait to be in the cloud:)

I feel the need of sharing my sadness about the death of Steve Jobs. For so many of us, geeks, he was a mentor, an inspiration, it’s like he was part of our every day life.

When I started working on my personal projects (localrepublic.com and others upcoming projects), I had to face a lot of doubts and still have to face a lot of incomprehension from many people. «Why not follow a regular path ?».

But a few years ago, I saw a video of Steve making a speech at Stanford’s university and it literally changed my life. That day I understood that I should do what my intuition is so powerfully pushing me to do and stop living the life everyone else is expecting me to live.

This is and has been since then a liberation, my inner voice is now the guide of my life. At any points of high doubts I watch this video again. It may sound silly but I’ve watched it more than 50 times and it still gives me the same emotion. Thank you so much Steve. Rest in peace.
